The What’s Gambling Really Costing You? Gambling Help in Your Language DVD Strategy for the Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Italian and Vietnamese communities was a unique and innovative social marketing and multi media campaign in NSW that addressed the impact of problem gambling in culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. This project was the Government Category Winner of the 2012 National Multicultural Marketing Awards.

The Multicultural Health Communication Service (MHCS) coordinated the DVD Strategy which was funded by the Responsible Gambling Fund (RGF) in the NSW Department of Trade & Investment as part of its Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Problem Gambling Awareness Campaign launched in 2010. This project was part of the NSW Government’s $2.4 million three-year early intervention and prevention strategy.
