Submission guidelines for the PaCH Health and Wellbeing photographic competition
- The competition is open to all PaCH staff members, except those on the judging panel.
- Each staff member may submit up to five photographs, one per category.
- Photos containing images of other PaCH staff, verbal consent is required.
- Photos containing images of patients/clients/consumers/peer workers/community members must be accompanied by a SESLHD photographic consent form (print, complete form and sign, upload the form) - http://seslhdweb.seslhd.health.nsw.gov.au/Forms_and_Templates/Forms/Communications/2024/MultimediaReleaseForm-Consentform.DOCX
- Photos must be consistent with the CORE values and Code of Conduct.
- All photographs must be original and taken by the staff member.
- Images should be high-resolution and in JPEG or PNG format.
- Editing and post-processing are allowed, but AI manipulation that alters the original content is not allowed.

- Staff members must submit their photographs via this link by the competition closing date Friday 3 October 2025.
- Include the following information in the email or via link.

Team name
Service name
Contact number
Email address
Category of the photograph
Device (e.g. mobile phone, digital camera)
Title of the photograph
Brief description of the image and how it relates to the category (max 50 words)
Signed SESLHD media consent form (print, fill in details & sign, photograph form & upload)
- The competition closing date is Friday 3 October 2025. Late entries will not be considered.
Entries will be judged based on:
- Quality of the image (exposure, brightness, contrast)
- Composition (arrangement of elements)
- Visual impact (grabbing the viewer’s attention; evoking positive emotions)
- Creativity and originality (uniqueness and inventiveness)
- Relevance to the category (clear and creative interpretation of the category)
- Suitability to be included in a PaCH photo library/album
The decision of the judging panel is final.
Staff members are only eligible to win one prize, across all five categories.
- Winners will be announced at the annual PaCH Showcase and will be notified via email.
- Prizes for each category:
First prize: $250 Red Balloon experience voucher
Second Prize: $150 Red Balloon experience voucher
Third Prize: $100 Red Balloon experience voucher
The intended use of the photos is:
The intended use of the photos is: (1) a photo library PaCH services could use and (2) an online PaCH photo album – a compendium of selected entries
By submitting a photograph, staff grant permission for PaCH to use the images for the above purpose and other promotional activities. Staff members retain the rights to their photographs.
