The flu shot is your best protection against severe flu

Influenza, or flu, is a highly contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It is more serious than a common cold. In 2017 more than 650 people died in NSW from influenza related complications. This year’s influenza vaccines have been updated to provide the best possible protection. By getting a flu shot you’re protecting yourself and the community from serious illness.
