The Pink Sari Project aims to raise awareness about breast screening among the Indian and Sri Lankan communities. These two communities have one of the lowest rates of breast screening in New South Wales, Australia. Together with community leaders, media, health institutions and practitioners and the wider community, we help save women’s lives through early detection of breast cancer.

The Pink Sari Project launched with a gathering of leaders and community members on the 13 October, 2014 at the Thornleigh Community Centre. The event marks the coming together of the community to jointly tackle the low awareness around breast screening amongst their women.

More will be announced soon.
