What we do
MHCS provides expert advice and support to NSW Health services and programs through evidence-based communication strategies; high-quality translation services; effective community engagement, consultations and co-design; and building the capacity of services and programs to effectively engage with multicultural communities.
MHCS manages high quality health-related translations through our “value added” translation service. Dissemination is supported through our state-wide multilingual health information database.
MHCS specialises in developing communication strategies, campaigns, resources and projects specifically targeted to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in NSW.
Multicultural Health Week has been held annually since 2009 to raise awareness of health issues experienced by culturally and linguistically diverse communities and way of addressing these issues.
