Multicultural Women’s Wellness & Cancer Screening Day

Please join Peninsula Women’s Health Centre for a Women’s Wellness and Cancer Screening Day on Thursday 1 September 2022.  Peninsula Women’s Health Centre is hosting a screening day for multicultural women at 20a McMasters Road, Woy Woy NSW 2256 starting at 10.00am to 2.00pm.  This all-inclusive day will allow multicultural women to have cancer screening with a focus on breast, bowel and cervical screening and link them to organisations that can provide these health services. Information is available in many languages, and bilingual community educators will be onsite.  Lunch is provided and individual bra fitting by Support the Girls with a gift of bras, underwear and a pamper pack will be provided.  Partner organisations include; Northern Settlement Services, Cancer Institute NSW, Cancer Council NSW and Support the Girls would like to highlight the importance of cancer screening particularly breast, bowel and cervical screening for women and would like to introduce services to support.  All are welcome. Welcome to join our half day information session called “Let’s Talk
About Cancer Screening”- A Conversation Needed in the Chinese Community.
The focus will be on cancer screening: bowel, cervical cancer and
breast cancer. Keynote speaker A/Prof Michael Suen will talk about bowel cancer
screening methods, the causes, prevention and treatment of bowel cancer. Dr Ton
Cheow Lee will talk about breast screening and Dr Susan Chu on cervical cancer
screening. Information stalls joined by Multicultural Services SWSLHD with
cancer screening flyers and info kits display will be set up. The information
session is supported by the Australian Chinese Medical Association Inc. NSW
with the funding from the  Community Engagement Grants Program under
Multicultural Health Week 2022.
